Crazy Busy Week....
Every week is crazy but this week is extra hectic. It started with today Monday being Presidents Day which means no school for the kids or work for the husband. Usually this would be great but when you've procrastinated on your homework and saved it for Monday only to realize that the four extra people in your house will not let you get it done you begin to worry. Tuesday is the big cookie delivery day for Girl Scouts and I am the TCM (Troop Cookie Manager) I cannot even begin to tell you how many hours I have spent working on cookies, thinking about cookies, setting up cookie booths, adding up orders etc... normally this wouldn't be a problem I love doing things for the kids and their clubs/groups/sports etc.. but I have just been really busy with the momentum nursing program and trying not to fall behind... or at least trying not to fall too far behind lol. Anyways after cookie pick up I have the hall it all into the house and sort it which should be fun considering there are going to be over 1800 boxes of cookies in my living room. After the sort and label session I will jet off to class and work on intramuscular injections and be tested on them. When the fun ends there I will sit in an hour and a half of DC traffic on my way home :) do a little homework, kiss the kids goodnight and head of to bed because I have an early day on Wednesday. Wednesday is clinical day and I really do love clinicals but I hate waking up and getting going that early in the morning. I only have 2 more weeks at Rehab clinicals then I start another 8 wk rotation at an acute care facility. Anyways back to my story I will get up at 4:40 am and be out the door (hopefully) at 5:50 to make it to clinical at 6:45 did I mention the traffic :) work til 3:15 pm and then head home in the HOV lane!! woot, so I can fly to my exit in 15 mins, then its just another 15 mins til I'm home. Seems fast for around here lol. Pick the kids up from the sitters house and head home. Quickly do dinner, kids homework checks, go through folders then its off to the Girl Scout Meeting while Michael is with Scott at boy scouts, I love that Scott takes him to scouts so that I no longer have to use my ability to split myself in two...because boy was that painful! lol. Anyways while the girls do their meeting I will be with the parents going over cookie info, signing papers, and giving out the cookies. Then at 8pm when the meeting is over I will pack up all the cookies that are left from parents not showing up at the mandatory meeting (trust me it will happen) and loading them back into the van and taking them home. Which i will then have to arrange meeting times at my house for those parents... and if it goes anything like signing the cookie permission forms did they will want to come over at times I'm in class, or 10 o'clock at night..... Wednesday night I will say a little prayer that I have made it half way through the week and ask for the strength to continue. Thursday isn't too bad, I have to get the kids off to the bus at 8:30 then pick up Aurora and Michael for appointments from the school at 10:00. Michael is being seen to get a referral for an ENT because his tube is coming out and we need to see if he needs them put back in. This had us at the hospital 2 weeks ago but that is a whole other story. Aurora has an appointment for a referral to an ENT to get her tonsils taken out, fun fun fun!! After she has the surgery all of us will have had a surgery except Jennifer.... watch out Jennifer watch out! After their appointments I will rush them back to school and hopefully make it back in time for my Nursing Exam at 1pm (which i have yet to study for). Friday we are meeting our good friends Donna and TJ from New York in Baltimore MD for lunch at Dicks last resort restaurant and then its Girl Scout Thinking Day which is being hosted by our girl scout troop this year. So we have set up, attending, and clean up from it. So that will run from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. After that we hurry home and get the kids off to bed. Saturday is the Boy Scouts Blue and Gold Banquet and award ceremony which is a half day event. We are also doing Jennifer's Twilight themed 9th birthday party on Sat because Scott is being sent to Idaho for a week and will miss her actual birthday. Sunday is church in which I will say a prayer that the world slows down just a bit so that I can catch up. Sunday is also the day Scott fly's to Idaho for a week for work, we have to take him at midnight to Baltimore MD (about an hour away) then he fly's out at 2am. Then its home, put the kids back in bed, and get up at 7am to start the school day and another week. You may be asking yourself why is a person that complains they have no time writing a blog post instead of doing something productive. I have asked myself this same question and the answer is.... because sometime you just need to vent and let everything out before you can move on and that is where I am right now.
